The reports of unexplained phenomena Hole's Hole span several centuries, often concentrating around the ancient woodland and the remnants of a medieval trackway known locally as the "Old Way." Eyewitness accounts frequently describe fleeting apparitions resembling figures in period clothing, particularly near the dilapidated stone bridge over the River Culm.
