The historic property, with parts dating back centuries, has cultivated a reputation for unusual occurrences and unexplained phenomena, drawing interest from paranormal investigators and local folklore enthusiasts alike. While no definitive scientific explanations have been widely accepted, the consistency of some accounts over extended periods contributes to the farm's notoriety. Among the frequently reported events at Newton Farm are instances of auditory phenomena. Witnesses have described hearing footsteps in unoccupied rooms, whispers emanating from empty corridors, and the distinct sounds of furniture being moved when no one is present. These acoustic disturbances are often reported late at night or during periods of solitude, leading some to attribute them to residual hauntings—echoes of past events imprinted on the environment. Other accounts detail experiences of cold spots, sudden and localized drops in temperature that are not attributable to drafts or faulty heating systems. These phenomena contribute to the perception of Newton Farm as a location with active unexplained events. Visual anomalies also feature prominently in stories from Newton Farm. Reports include fleeting glimpses of shadow figures moving at the periphery of vision, particularly in older sections of the farmhouse. Some individuals have claimed to witness apparitions described as translucent human forms, often brief and indistinct. The perceived presence of a "Grey Lady" has been a recurring motif in local legends surrounding haunted Newton Farm, though specific details about her identity remain elusive. Objects reportedly moving on their own, such as doors opening or closing without apparent cause, and small items being displaced, add to the mystique of paranormal activity at Newton Farm. Investigations into the unexplained phenomena at Newton Farm have been conducted by various groups, employing equipment such as EMF detectors and thermal cameras, though conclusive evidence remains elusive. Local historians often point to the farm's long history, including periods of significant human drama and potential tragedy, as a possible source for the reported disturbances.
