While not as widely publicized as some other haunted locales in the United Kingdom, local folklore and anecdotal accounts suggest a persistent presence of the unexplained. The most frequently cited location for alleged hauntings is St. Mary's Church, a building with Norman origins. Witnesses have reported hearing disembodied chanting and the faint strains of organ music emanating from the apparently empty church late at night. There have also been claims of cold spots, sudden temperature drops, and the sensation of being watched within the churchyard, particularly near older gravestones.
