One recurring theme in the reports from Newland involves the presence of spectral figures. The grounds of the former Newland Hall, which dates back several centuries, are often cited as a hotspot for such sightings. Beyond humanoid apparitions, the village has also experienced reports of poltergeist activity, primarily concentrated in older residential properties. Local residents and historical accounts often link these occurrences to past tragedies or significant historical events that took place within the village, speculating that lingering energies manifest in these physical disturbances.
