Other instances of unexplained phenomena Upper Ettingshall locals have shared involve poltergeist activity, such as objects moving on their own, unexplained noises like footsteps or knocking when no one else is present, and sudden temperature drops in specific rooms or corridors. Some residents have described encountering distinct smells, such as coal smoke, sulfur, or even pipe tobacco, in areas where no such source exists.
