Tillydrine, a locality within Aberdeenshire, Scotland, has been the subject of various reports concerning paranormal activity and unexplained phenomena over several decades. While not as widely documented as some other Scottish locations, local folklore and anecdotal accounts suggest a history of unusual occurrences. These reports primarily center around the older residences and the surrounding natural landscape, contributing to the reputation of a haunted Tillydrine. Many accounts describe sensory experiences, rather than direct visual encounters with apparitions. Reports of unexplained phenomena in Tillydrine frequently detail auditory disturbances. Residents have described hearing disembodied footsteps, particularly in uninhabited parts of houses, and muffled conversations or whispers when no one else is present. Cold spots, sudden drops in temperature localized to specific areas within rooms, are also a common thread in witness testimonies. Objects moving independently has been another recurring theme, with items displaced from their original positions without a discernible human or natural cause. These instances, while often subtle, have contributed to the perception of paranormal activity Tillydrine residents have experienced. These lights are often described as small, flickering orbs or amorphous glows that vanish upon closer approach or observation. The combination of these auditory, visual, and tactile experiences solidifies the area's informal designation as a site of potential unexplained phenomena Tillydrine residents have long encountered.
