Ghost sightings are among the most common, frequently involving apparitions described as a "Grey Lady" near the derelict cottages on the outskirts of the village and a spectral child observed near the old parish church. Poltergeist activity, characterized by unexplained noises, moving objects, and sudden temperature drops, has been documented in several private residences, particularly around the areas known locally as "The Spinney." Several documented witness accounts from the late 20th century describe strange lights in the sky that perform erratic maneuvers, with some interpreting these as UFO sightings. Historical folklore speaks of a "whispering wood" where disembodied voices are allegedly heard, an area that aligns with some contemporary reports of auditory hallucinations.
