UFO and Unidentified Aerial Phenomena (UAP) sightings are periodically reported, often described as unusual lights or craft moving silently and erratically above the moor, not attributable to conventional aircraft. Cryptid encounters, particularly mentions of large, dark, canine-like figures, sometimes referred to as spectral hounds, emerge in local accounts and folklore, resonating with broader Suffolk traditions of the Black Shuck legend. Numerous individuals claim to have witnessed ghostly apparitions, often described as indistinct figures or shadowy forms, especially near ancient pathways and abandoned structures. Poltergeist activity, characterized by unexplained noises, moved objects, and sudden temperature drops, has been reported in isolated dwellings surrounding the moor. Additionally, witnesses describe unexplained atmospheric phenomena, such as sudden, localized fogs that dissipate without conventional atmospheric explanation, and unusual electrical disturbances. These varied accounts contribute to the perception of Middleton Moor paranormal activity.

One recurring theme involves sightings of an elderly woman in clothing from an earlier era, purportedly seen near the old drovers' road, who vanishes upon approach. Another notable pattern of paranormal reports in Suffolk includes instances of disembodied whispers and faint musical notes heard in remote clearings, particularly at dusk, which cannot be sourced to any discernible origin. Investigations by amateur and professional groups have recorded anomalous electromagnetic field (EMF) readings and unexplainable thermal fluctuations in specific areas known for recurring phenomena.
