Whistlefield, a small settlement in Argyll and Bute, Scotland, has been the subject of numerous reports concerning paranormal activity and unexplained phenomena. Situated near Loch Goil, the area's secluded nature and historic buildings have contributed to its reputation as a site of potential supernatural occurrences. Accounts of haunted Whistlefield stretch back several decades, with a notable concentration around the Whistlefield Inn, a building with a history dating to the 17th century. Patrons and staff of the Whistlefield Inn have frequently reported these occurrences, sometimes accompanied by the sensation of being watched or a sudden drop in temperature. Objects moving on their own, including cutlery, small decorative items, and even doors opening and closing, have also been cited in testimonies concerning the unexplained phenomena Whistlefield has experienced. These incidents are often attributed to residual haunting or intelligent apparitions, though no definitive evidence has been presented. Beyond the Whistlefield Inn, sightings of spectral figures have been documented in the surrounding woodland and along the old military road. Some accounts describe a lone female figure in period attire, while others mention fleeting glimpses of shadowy forms.
