The concentration of these reports has led to local folklore and occasional investigations by paranormal researchers. One recurring type of paranormal activity in Trehafren involves spectral figures. Witnesses have described seeing shadowy forms or translucent figures, particularly in older buildings and along ancient pathways. The former Trehafren Mill, now largely disused, is frequently cited as a hotspot for such sightings. Reports from former employees and local residents detail encounters with a figure believed to be a former miller, often seen in specific parts of the building or near the old waterwheel. There have also been numerous accounts of disembodied voices, whispers, and the sound of footsteps in empty rooms, especially prevalent in properties predating the 20th century. Such occurrences are often attributed to residual energy or intelligent hauntings, providing common narratives for paranormal activity Trehafren residents discuss. Beyond visual and auditory experiences, there are accounts of poltergeist-like activity. Objects are sometimes reported to move on their own, or lights are said to switch on and off without human intervention. These instances are less frequent but have been reported in both private residences and commercial establishments within Trehafren. One notable incident involved a local pub, where patrons and staff reported objects falling from shelves and unexplained drafts even with windows and doors closed. The general consensus among those who have experienced unexplained phenomena Trehafren offers is that the area's long history and ancient landscape might contribute to its perceived paranormal density. Furthermore, some reports extend to peculiar light phenomena and animal reactions. Additionally, some residents have noted their domestic animals exhibiting fear or unusual behavior in specific locations or at certain times, seemingly reacting to unseen presences.
